Last week, we found ourselves in Toronto on a quick stop, in collaboration with Buffer Festival.
Buffer Festival is an annual showcase of YouTube video premieres, bringing the most acclaimed digital creators and their audiences together. The concept for the festival was conceived in 2011 and was inspired by the Toronto International Film Festival. My husband first performed at their festival last year, and this year he was asked to come back and perform again but this time we wanted to do something different. We have the vision to take ‘Not A Role Model’ around the world so this was a perfect opportunity to do so.
I can’t lie it wasn’t the smoothest journey bringing a whole show to another country but it was certainly a venture that excited us, not just because we got to meet new people but mostly because we got to do it all over again post the successful show we had in London!
Anyway I digress, this post is about Toronto and how to make the most of your time there! With us being there for such a short period of time, we wanted to take in as much of the city after the show as we could, especially as our friends (who joined us on our trip) had never visited.
We consider Toronto like our second home (we’ve been there maybe three to four times), reminds me so much of London, just colder! Last time we were there together, we pretty much made downtown our home and saw other bits and pieces of Toronto. So this time we knew exactly what we liked and where we wanted to go. It was easy So, if you’re like me, and find yourself spending a few days in Toronto, then perhaps you could follow my lead and check out some of my favourite spots.
Below are some photos from our trip to Toronto and some commentary about our days in there.
As I mentioned earlier, we were in Toronto for Suli’s show but after that was done with we were able to not just take in the sites but also just chill at some of our favourite places.
So if you are going to Toronto anytime soon, hope this quick guide was useful.
Let me know in the comments if you enjoyed the photo blog & if I should do more in the future 🙂
