I wanted to do something different today.
Change is good right?
This is a must share from SOW Daily Devotion.
I got sent this sometime last year and it is one of the reason why I found the courage to quit my job last year and go into the unknown, so be blessed!
Today’s Scripture Sunday is based on Ephesians 5:8-10, “For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.”
When you’re still living with your parents or guardian, a lot of what you do is determined by them. In the early years they determine what you eat, how you dress, which types of environments you’re exposed to, and many other things pertaining to your life. We will find a lot of who we are today was molded from our home environments, and determines a lot of actions we make as we grow up, even into our later years.
Some of those things deposited in us from our parents and every other factor that contributes to our growth as humans has been good, but some has also been bad. As humans we can only give what we have, and if we’re honest, not everything on the inside of us is good.
Take a moment to think about who and what has filled you up…
What you are born to do is tied up in the question:
“Whose am I?”
You may think you belong to no one, that you are free to do what you want. Well, you are right in thinking you are free to choose what you want to do, we all are! But. And this is a big but. We all belong to someone, and only they can answer the question:
“What am I born to do?”
That yearning to know our destiny is in every single of one us, that’s what gives us strength to face each day. However, the answers from in us and all around just don’t seem to fulfil that yearning.
“How can I know my true destiny?”
It’s not until you decide “I belong to JESUS” and follow His leading through the Holy Spirit that you will truly know. He is YOUR creator. He alone has the answer to your destiny.
Happy Sunday guys. x
